Community Guidelines

Last updated: 19 August 2026

These Community Guidelines form part of the PYCL Terms of Service and apply to everyone who uses PYCL (operated by Carfanz Ltd). They exist to keep PYCL a genuine, safe, adults-only community built around cars. Contact: info@pycl.app.

1. The basics

PYCL is for people 18 and over who love cars. Be real, be decent, and keep it about the cars and the community. If you wouldn't say or show it to someone's face at a car meet, don't post it here.

2. What is not allowed

Illegal content and activity • Anything illegal, or that helps others break the law. • Content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism. • Sale or promotion of illegal or regulated goods (e.g. drugs, weapons, stolen vehicles or parts, cloned/ringed vehicles). Anyone under 18 / sexual content • No content that sexualises anyone, and absolutely no content involving anyone under 18. Any content that sexually exploits or endangers a child will be removed and reported to the authorities. • No pornography or sexually explicit material. Harm to people • No harassment, bullying, threats, stalking or intimidation. • No hate speech or attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age. • No "doxxing" — sharing someone's private information (home address, personal number plate against their wishes, phone number, workplace) without consent. • No content encouraging self-harm or suicide. Dangerous driving and real-world harm • No content that encourages or glorifies dangerous, illegal driving that could lead to real-world harm (e.g. street racing on public roads, filming reckless driving that endangers others). Track days, legal events and off-road content are welcome. Dishonesty and manipulation • No impersonation of another person or business. • No scams, fraud or deceptive listings. • No fake vehicles, fake ownership, or false verification evidence (e.g. faking a "Real & yours", dyno or timing check). • No fake engagement or manipulation of Revs, rankings or verification. Other people's rights • Don't post content you don't have the rights to (photos, videos, music, logos, brands). • Respect intellectual property. See the Terms for how to report infringement. Spam and platform abuse • No spam, bots, mass unsolicited messaging, or automated scraping/harvesting. • No attempts to bypass age checks, verification, security or limits.

3. Buying and selling

• Only list vehicles or items where our features allow it, and describe them honestly. • PYCL is a venue, not a party to any deal. Meet safely, check documents, and do your own due diligence. • No sale of stolen, cloned or illegally modified vehicles or parts.

4. Number plates and privacy

• You can choose to display or hide your own number plate. Think before you show it. • Don't post other people's plates or private details to identify, track or harass them.

5. Business accounts

Businesses on PYCL must be honest, comply with advertising and consumer law, not post misleading claims, and clearly be themselves (no fake reviews or impersonation).

6. Reporting and how we enforce

Reporting: you can report any post, comment, message, account or car using the in-app report option, or by emailing info@pycl.app. Tell us what and why. What we do: we screen some content automatically before it goes live, and we review reports. Where content or behaviour breaks these Guidelines or the law we may, depending on severity: remove content; add, downgrade or remove a verification badge; issue a warning; limit features; or suspend or permanently remove an account. Illegal content and risks to people's safety are treated most seriously and may lead to immediate removal and reporting to the authorities. Notice: where practical and lawful we'll tell you what happened and why. Appeals: if you think we've made a mistake, you can appeal by emailing info@pycl.app. A person will review your appeal.

7. Keeping PYCL safe

We are committed to complying with our duties under the Online Safety Act 2023, including tackling illegal content and keeping under-18s off the Service. We keep our systems and these Guidelines under review as the law and Ofcom's codes develop.

Thanks for helping keep PYCL genuine. — The PYCL team, info@pycl.app
